ORDES - A CORUÑA
In 2024, the iconic "O Mesón de Deus" building in Ordes, A Coruña, is reborn with a new design and a unique atmosphere. The historic 18th-century structure, once a resting place for travelers, has regained its essence thanks to the team at RGS Europe and the craftsmanship of Carpintería Ramón García. The interior design and custom carpentry stand out for their use of natural materials, especially wood, which blend seamlessly with the stone walls. Oak tables, a bar adorned with tiles, and an open kitchen are just some of the features that invite guests to enjoy a unique dining experience.
La Parrillada O Rancho moves from the center of Ordes to a new location in the iconic "O Mesón de Deus" building, a historic restaurant that, after several years of closure, is now reopening under new ownership. This building is the oldest preserved in the urban area of Ordes, with a history dating back to the 18th century when it served as an inn for travelers along the Santiago to A Coruña route. Its location on the national highway, a busy thoroughfare, adds to its significance.
The design proposal aims to respect and enhance the existing architectural elements, achieving a harmonious aesthetic within the space. The RGS and RG team has focused on interior layout, carpentry, and furniture.
The concept is rooted in the use of natural materials, especially wood, which highlight the building’s features and create a warm atmosphere. The masonry stone walls add a rustic, authentic touch. The restaurant includes a bar area with tables, two dining rooms, and an open kitchen-grill area, inviting diners to enjoy a unique culinary experience.
